Two-stage orthodontics is an advanced method for correcting dental and jaw problems in children. This method consists of two phases:
Phase 1 (Early Childhood): In this phase, usually performed between the ages of 6 and 10, jaw and structural problems are assessed and corrected. Special devices such as headgear, removable plates, or primary brackets are used to guide the growth of the jaw and teeth.
Phase 2 (After the permanent teeth have fully grown): After the permanent teeth have fully grown (around 12 to 14 years of age), the final orthodontic treatment is performed. In this phase, fixed brackets are used to precisely adjust the position of the teeth.
